    Hello,

I would like to know what you would do as Governor of NJ with respect to America pulling out of the Paris Agreement. Will you commit to join the governors of Washington, California, and New York in the United States Climate Alliance which was created to meet America’s Paris Goals? Thank you

President Trump’s decision to leave the Paris climate accord is wrongheaded, a decision that disregards 50 years of research and overwhelming scientific evidence that climate change is both real, and man made. As well as turning his back on the moral argument for action, the President has also rejected a major area of economic growth. Consider the following facts:

    • The US already employs 3 times as many people in the solar industry than it does in coal mining. Think that’s a good start? Well, as it stands, China in 2016 employed 2 million people in solar energy-related jobs, about two-thirds of the world total and more than eight times the number in the U.S.

    • Fuel and running costs for electric cars are already lower than for their gas-powered counterparts. Now Bloomberg New Energy Finance predicts electric cars will reach purchase price parity by 2025 – a scant 8 years away.

    • India has decreed that every car sold in India from 2030 will be electric.

    • Solar power is projected to be the least-expensive electricity technology in most of the world by 2030.

    • Onshore wind costs will fall an additional 40 percent by 2040,

The low carbon economy will be the greatest opportunity for wealth creation of the 21st Century. We are ceding the jobs that accompany that revolution to our global competitors.

Our President might elect to turn his back on this new economy. But there is no reason for our state to do so. We have no coal, oil or gas. But we have sun, wind, brainpower and business acumen.

As a gubernatorial candidate, I call on you to create a vision for how OUR state will become a global leader in the coming economy. Our grandchildren deserve nothing less.

Please keep me updated. Your comments on NJ Transit in today’s Star Ledger were correct. The 7 subway to Seacaus can be built in 3 yrs. 50% of problem addressed.Just retired from Waldorf (22 1/2 years) . Christie is main problem. “Sandy”: parking 1/3 of rail cars in Hoboken? Totally stupid. Christie ruined rail. Hope you win. Todd Brady, Wall Township

    Dear Mark Zinna team,

I was wondering if the campaign would consider creating a wikipedia page for the candidate. While I recognize this could be a lot of work, I believe this would be an important step for both documentation of the race and increasing candidate publicity. A guide for making wikipedia pages is attached. In my opinion, the best place to create a red link would be the election page!

    Thank you,

    Hi Marshall,

Mark is pro marijuana legalization. Soon you will be able to find a more detailed description of our policy on the topic on our website, but to answer your question: Mark is very aware of the issues related to Marijuana, and feels strongly that our current approach is fundamentally flawed.

I noticed that in your policy you didn’t address a stance on Marijuana legalization. As you may already know arrests for Marijuana related crimes are filling our prisons and ruining peoples lives. Our current governor refuses to acknowledge this and even pushes towards more arrests. My question is simple, if you were to become governor what actions will you take to fix our marijuana issue? Many states are realizing the benefits of regulating this plant and moving towards more progressive laws. I am very interested on your stance.
